Tapas Party
Last Saturday Chris and I had a tapas party fundraiser (for Team In Training) at our friend Kelly's house. It was a huge success, and we made way too much food, as usual. 3 rounds of food - appetizers and munchies, main dishes...the hot food, and dessert. Those who had never been to one of our parties before thought the first round was it for food...they know better now.
On the menu were 6 types of crostini, cherry tomatoes stuffed with crabmeat, olives, stuffed mushrooms, an apple and manchego salad, Piquillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese, chorizo with mashed potatoes, mussels, meatballs in a tomato sauce and a blue cheese sauce, garlic shrimp, and a chickpea stew. For dessert, Chris made chocolate rice pudding, caramel sauce, kit-kat bars ala Citronelle, and flan. The flan was out of this world. Like I said, it was a lot of food.
Sorry, no pictures this time. We were so busy cooking and plating food that I totally forgot about taking pictures.

Oh, last thing...Chris and I have signed up for our first 2008 event - the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler on April 6.
