El Tour de Tucson Recap
It's been a few weeks since we participated in El Tour de Tucson, and it's definitely time for a recap of the event. First, a picture of Chris and me before the start of the ride and on the ride:

It was the 25th anniversary of El Tour de Tucson and 10,000 riders were registered. With that many riders, it took us 30 minutes to cross the start line. Once we got out of downtown Tucson, the ride was beautiful...The course, a little hillier than we originally thought, took us through Sagauro National Park, passed an airplane graveyard, and across two dry riverbeds (where we had to lift our bikes and walk). And of course, there were cacti everywhere.

This is the back of Dave's jersey; the boy in the top, middle is his son Chris, our honored teammate (and cheerleader).

Since El Tour de Tucson, we've been to Houston for Thanksgiving and back to Tucson for a wedding (Congratulations, Frank and Kathleen!).
Now, we're back in MD/DC and have no races planned for the rest of the year, but 2008 is right around the corner, and I just heard that registration for the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler opens next Tuesday!
